Services offered to students

 

Transfer Service

On arrival in Florence students who require this service are met, either at the airport or at the railway station, by a member of the Institute's staff, who then accompanies them to their apartment or to host family.

 

 

Emergency number

24 hours a day, holidays and weekends included, students have an emergency number at their disposal. This permits immediate contact with a staff member of the Institute.

 

 

 

Café- Restaurant

This is situated on the ground floor of the school and is open daily from 12:00 noon to 1:00 a.m. It is also open to students from other schools, both foreign and Italian, and is considered one of the best meeting places of the city.

 

 

Student Identification Card

At the beginning of their course students receive an identification card. This allows them to use a number of facilities, at reduced prices, during their stay in Italy: shops, bars, restaurants, gymnasia and sport centres, public transport and discos.

 

 

Music Room

The music room is available to students who wish to practise the piano, do singing exercises, or to perform on their own instruments.

 

 

 

 

Free Internet

Besides a number of computers at their disposal, the school also offers wireless Internet service to its students. With your PC you will be able to navigate the web free of charge by simply connecting it to our wireless connection.

 

 

 

Fax & E-mail

Fax and e-mail messages may be received, free of charge, at any time. With the student identification card it is possible to obtain discounts at any of the nearby Internet cafés.

 

 

 

 

The Library and Common Room

This is always at students’ disposal. The library has a wide selection of Italian Literature, dictionaries, art books and guidebooks, and publications on Florence, Tuscany and Italy in general. Newspapers and magazines are also available.
