The aim of this course is the teaching of all techniques necessary to take "quality pictures", studying the main fields of photography, such as news, still life, landscape, portrait, reproduction of works of art, fashion and art photography, thereby enabling the student to develop a personal style and preparing him for a career in photography.

The course is offered at two levels: basic and advanced.

Among the themes of the basic course are: the initial use of the camera (diaphragm opening, times of exposure and depth of field), composition, use of natural light, indoor and outdoor photography and the different types of film.

Among the themes of the advanced course are: depth of field, the controls and the effects of natural light, the techniques of artificial illumination, flash, use of different lenses, the dark room, and colour photography.

Both these courses are completed by lectures on the history and analysis of photography. mnmnmnmn

The aim

 

The aim of this course is to transmit the techniques necessary to solve the problems of the image by studying the main specialities of photography, such as "photoreportage”, still life, landscape, the portrait, the reproduction of works of art, fashion and artistic photography, thereby enabling the student to develop a personal style.

 

The course caters for three levels: introductory, basic and advanced. 

 

 

Introductory Course:

 

Duration: one month (32 hours)

The use of the camera

The pinhole

The Photographic camera and its components

Types of cameras.  Different formats, leica format

Exposure I:  Shutter speed – aperture

Film speed

F-stop

Exposure II: Light meter, medium grey

Practice: Shooting outdoors

Introduction to the dark room

Developing film

Printing the contact print

 

 

Basic Course ( I, II and III)

 

Duration: from one to three months (32 hours per month)

The lessons are taught in Italian and/or in English language.
